Sethzilla getting busy

Sethzilla getting busy

Congratulations, you found us! Well it’s been a while since my posts. Life has a way of making it tough to get to the CORE of your passions. In dong so, the tallbikeposse.com website was overdue in annual payment, and with that overlap came the harsh reality that people out there on the internets will hijack and hold websites hostage and basically turn a website into SPAM.

I walk away form that episode, and claim TallBikePosse.org the official site. In doing so, the .org really brings in what we believe; and that is a “cooperative group” ready to ride for fun and for bike awareness, willing to work and bring creative ideas to the posse, and able to promote all that is Tall Bike Posse.
With that, I give you a couple CORE photos of the Posse getting it done. Yeee-Haw!

BTW - if any of you readers want to buy back tallbikeposse.com for us to use, go for it. I have no patience for negotiations.

Bike art Build

Sunday, April 18th, 2010

We had a great build today at the Central Coast Brewery. Tom and I showed up in the truck and unloaded our material for all to peruse and reuse.

We finished one tall bike, a large slingshot, a mini mammoth, a large car hood ornament, wind chimes, and a really cute sculpture of some kind of animal. Allen Root was a great help with his welding unit and awesome metal machinery. Jim Aaron opened up the brewery and we provided some foot traffic of thirsty lookie-loos. This is going to be a great bike art show at the Atascadero Bike Lane Gallery. Read about it on Craigslist.

Bike Art Build and Brew

bikeart-buld

Time to deconstruct, drill, drink, and grind bike bones, create art from the junk-pile bike heap. We’ll haul the bike bones down to Central Coast Brewery this Sunday from noon ’til whenever for an All-Out Bike Build. THIS IS NOT A SPECTATOR SPORT! Get busy and create Art from Bike scrap. The Tall Bike Posse will bring demo bikes and make a corral in the Central Coast Brew parking lot just for the aesthetic rumpus and no holds barred Bike Art Build! Our welding hombre will be on hand to make YOUR idea a reality. Come with inspiration and a thirst for beer.

Cyclebration at Central Coast Brewery

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

The Posse showed up with Tallbikes, bike bones and banner vinyl to SLO County Bicycle Coalition Cyclebration at Central Coast Brewery. In classic TBP tradition, we cranked out some bikeartwork and this cool banner made from recycled vinyl, bike tire paint brush and outdoor latex paint. The Posse received a Velo Revelation Award for our spectacular ability to “inspire pedal passion in our community“.

Aaaaah, Fresh Grafitti

I opened Flickr and someone marks one of my tallbikes as a favorite. I hit the link to my new connection and see this. I love it.

Bike Camper

Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

I like what I see here, and it has been built! Kevin Syr is a recycle visionary and sees potential in a number of transportation alternatives. I will order up a bike camper when they come available. Do they come in a two wheel version?

The Tall Bike Posse raised $2020.25 for the San Luis Obispo County Bicycle Coalition through events held at their annual Bike Momentum Art show during Bike Month in May. The Coalition is a non-profit organization promoting bicycle safety, education, access and awareness for everyone. The Tall Bike Posse is a loose confederation of bicyclists who ride from a different perspective.

So you missed the Bike Art Event?

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009

Sorry, you just missed the most talked about, all inclusive, community building, below the radar, event since the last one. No need to fret, I have photos on Flicker and so does Yardsale recording every piece of art that existed in the gallery. Try typing in “Bike Momentum” and see what turns up as well. Though it’s not the same as the gallery experience, It’s all you have, Looo-Huuu-SER!

Email me and I will make sure you are on future event blasts.
